OUTFITTING~GUIDING~RANCH EXPERIENCE
We are a small family guiding business that offers a variety of outdoor experiences. We are located in the heart of the Big Hole Valley in southwestern Montana in a little town named Jackson. For summer, we offer fly fishing trips on small streams and the Big Hole River. These are day trips with meals and accommodations optional. In the fall, we have 7 day Big Game hunts for elk, deer, antelope and moose.
Hunting accommodations are in cabins here at the ranch and home cooked meals are provided when you are staying with us .We have 7,000 acres of our own land and we also utilize the national forest land behind our ranch.
During the big game hunts we use 4-wheel drives to access the hunt areas and all the hunting is done on foot. We also use 4-wheel drives on our fishing and varmint hunting trips. We use our horses and mules for packing out big game in the fall, but no horse hunting is involved.
Brandon Larsen is the son of Tom Larsen and has been hunting with us since he was very young and now is one of our guides.
James Rangitsch has been guiding general rifle hunts for Lapham Outfitters since 1993. His knowledge of the area is unsurpassed. When he is
not guiding for Lapham Outfitters,
he spends the rest of the year
guiding and fishing in Alaska.
Lapham Outfitters is part of the Lapham ranch, a 5th generation cattle ranch that has been owned and operated by the family for over 150 years. Max, Debbie, and their children, Timbre (Dusty), Whittney, and Colt, operate the outfitting business and ranch year around.
Max Lapham is the owner of Lapham Outfitters and is a licensed Montana Guide and Outfitter. He grew up in the Big Hole Valley, and he has over 34 years of experience fishing and hunting for elk, deer, antelope and moose in the Big Hole Valley.
Tom Larsen has been an archery guide for Lapham Outfitters since 1995 and a general rifle guide since 2003. Tom's free time is spent at what he does best, hunting and fishing.
